She is a woman of such kindness and love that Goro is moved to learn something about the woman he married. With those few words of love and tenderness, he understands her fears, her goals, and her hopes for the future -- a future that he knows will never come.

A Genius who Fell into darkness. The God of the Underworld.
Akagi runs from a game of chicken where he almost died, to a Mahjong parlour where a man loses all his money to the yakuza. Akagi, who is only thirteen, tells the loser that his game needs improvement (although Akagi himself has never played before). Akagi replaces him in the game, and so a legend is born.
When the police come to check on the place to see if the kid that ran from the game of chicken is there the yakuza deny that Akagi was involved. In the end the policeman invites Akagi to a much more organized Mahjong game and from there, the legend of the Genius who Fell into Darkness continues to grow.

Nearly half the population of Sakurada, a small town near the Pacific Ocean, has some sort of unique power. These powers range from being able to enter the mind of a cat to resetting the world back to a certain point in time in the past. There is a group known as the "Kanrikyoku" that controls and monitors the use of these powers. Asai Kei and Haruki Misora work for their school's club called "Houshi" club, which execute any missions received from the Kanrikyoku. Misora has the ability to reset the world three days. This means that all events and any memory of the past three days that "could have" happened, never happened. Kei has the ability to "remember" the past. Even after Misora uses her powers to reset the world back three days, Kei will retain those three days in his memory. Combining their powers, these two solve missions issued by the Kanrikyoku
